The Role

We are looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a broad range of technologies. You will use your existing skills and experience to contribute to the development and support of the company’s bespoke systems.

Reporting to the Systems Development Manager, you will be part of a progressive team developing advanced solutions, and as such you will be expected to discuss technical ideas with your team and be confident in proposing new approaches and technologies.  As a key member of the team your attendance and input into regular team meetings will be required.

You will be based at our Cobalt office (Newcastle). We offer flexible working hours but you should be prepared to work longer when required.


  • Implementing high quality software solutions;
  • Working as part of a team to implement enterprise level dynamic web applications;
  • Translation of user requirements to source code on various technical platforms;
  • Participate in full life cycle from initial requirements gathering to support functions;
  • Write high quality, maintainable code that is easy to maintain and test;
  • Identify and improve areas of our existing code base;
  • Participate in planning meetings related to the development roadmap;
  • Engage with internal teams to fully understand business requirements.



  • Degree in an applicable, related subject.



A minimum of 2 years’ commercial experience with:

  • ASP.Net Core
  • C#
  • Angular or other Javascript application frameworks
  • MS SQL Server 2014/2016
  • RESTful API design
  • Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control
  • SOLID principles


Experience with the following:

  • Knowledge on containerized applications with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Source Control (GIT / TFS)
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment
  • ASP.NET Web Forms
  • HTML 5
  • CSS 3

  • You must be self-motivated, methodical and have a keen eye for detail;
  • You will have an interest in how things work and have a natural ability to identify software issues at an early stage;
