You’ll need to be eager to learn and to do well – we’ll give you all the tools, training and support you need to to succeed in what is a very rewarding role.
We want to recognise and reward the great work you do in a way that suits you best, so we offer a competitive salary and generous bonus/commission plan plus loads of other great benefits including:
Have a good read of the job description to see if you like the sound of the role, and if you’ve got the skills we’re looking for.
Apply online with an up-to-date copy of your CV. This will then be passed on to one of our Recruitment Consultants for review and shortlisting.
If you make the shortlist, one of our Recruitment Consultants will call you for a short telephone interview, usually lasting around 20-30 minutes.
If you’re successful at the telephone interview stage, you will be booked in to a face-to-face competency-based interview with the hiring manager and one of the Recruitment Team, which should last about an hour.
The next step is what we call the “Operational Observation” stage.
This is where you get to come and meet our Energy Consultants, see the systems and get a feel for our working environment.
This is stage is very much a two-way street for you and the team to get a feel for the role and whether it’s a good fit for you, so you’ll get a chance to ask loads of questions.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find out on the day whether you’ve got the job or not, but we will let you know as soon as we can.
If you’re successful, we’ll give you a call to make you a formal offer and to agree your start date with us.
We’ll send you out your contract via email with all T&Cs attached, so you’ll have all the information you need ready to start your career at Utilitywise!
Can you see yourself working 9-5, engaging with businesses across the UK and helping to reduce their carbon footprint? Here at Utilitywise we don’t just talk about the positive impact utility management can have on our customers’ businesses and the environment, but we also take care and pride in how we impact on our own community.
Our colleagues have the opportunity to take one day each year to work with a charity, donating time, effort and expertise to really make a difference.
Although prior sales experience is an advantage in many cases, at Utilitywise we take pride in giving our new starters an unparalleled on-boarding experience, teaching you everything you need to know about our industry, our customers and our systems and processes.
When you start as a Utilitywise Energy Consultant, you’ll undertake a two-week classroom-based training programme, giving you the skills you need to begin your journey as an Energy Consultant.
But that’s just the start – nobody expects you to be an expert after only two weeks, so we follow this up with 12 weeks of supported in-role training, helping you to overcome the challenges of those first weeks on the job and understand how to deliver exceptional conversations to your customers.
We keep it simple: Hours – our business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Your interview will consist of Competency and Strength-based questions, so we’ll want to hear not only about what you’ve achieved in your career to date, but also how you made those achievements.
And although we definitely want to hear about all the things you’re great at, we also want to hear about the challenges you’ve faced and how you’ve approached these, so we know how best to help you develop in your career
From Monday to Thursday, all colleagues wear smart business dress and on a Friday, you can choose to wear casual or business clothes.
We recommend that you wear smart business dress to your face-to-face interviews and any visits you make as part of the recruitment process – it’s always a good idea to put your best foot forward!
