£960m public sector retail water contract awards announced

The Crown Commercial Service has released details of some the companies appointed to the framework agreement for the supply of water, wastewater and ancillary services to a wide range of public sector organisations when the market opens for competition on 1st April.

Services to be provided under the framework had an estimated overall value of £960 million. The framework was tendered in three separate Lots – details of companies appointed to Lots 1 and 3 have been made available, while information about suppliers on Lot 2 which covers ancillary services (conservation, management of consumption, reduction) will be made available shortly.

Lot 1 Water Supply and Sewerage Services (£600 million): ADSM, Affinity water, Anglian Water, Business Stream, Castle Water, Pennon Water, Threesixty, Water Plus

Lot 3 One Stop Shop (£330 million) (combination of lots 1 and 2): ADSM, Affinity water, Anglian Water, Business Stream, Castle Water, Pennon Water, Northumbrian Water, Threesixty, Water Plus

The CCS has been working with a number of other organisations to develop the framework agreement, including YPO, ESPO, NEPO, West Mercia Energy and The Energy Consortium. The Ministry of Defence is also part of the working group.

The duration of the Framework Agreement is for a three year period with an option to extend for one year.
