Securing value added services today, for savings tomorrow

Utilitywise Strategy & Innovation Director, Jon Ferris, will be speaking at the Energy Event on 13 September 2016.

Jon will join a panel to talk over the current issues businesses face when it comes to buying energy. The session, ‘Buying energy 101 – securing value added services today, for savings tomorrow’, will take place at 2.45pm in the Energy Leaders Theatre.

Recent regulation and legislation such as P272 is transitioning a move for businesses of all sizes to smart meters. This will bring opportunities and pitfalls for SMEs and micro businesses. Jon will aim to demystify the complicated legislation and terminology so you can better appreciate the impact on your business.

Jon will also aim to outline the benefits that smart grids and IoT technology can deliver. These include more accurate bills, access to your consumption data and the ability to respond to the market such as shifting usage to a different time of the day to achieve better prices.

The Energy Event is free to attend and will be taking place on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 September at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. To attend Jon’s seminar, register for The Energy Event here.
